Vintage French River Landscape Ink & Oil On Canvas

An unusual small French painting in monochrome palette. I think it's an ink sketch over oil paint that faded. It's a lovely serene river scene. I spotted it immediately as it's so different, I personally have never seen anything like it before. I believe it has some age but honestly have no idea!
