Mid Century British Nude Oil On Canvas

A beautiful, jewel coloured nude study by the artist Bryan Whitfield, trained in the 1950's at Manchester Art School & Slade. He spent his artistic career painting out of the back of his van and travelling Europe with his family. His work has been described as 'quietly intense' which I believe is the perfect description. When alive he refused to sell his art and now his family are starting to sort and sell his studio.

His colour palette and style are an absolute joy, perfection.
