Mid Century British Landscape Oil On Wooden Board

A beautiful impressionist style landscape by the artist Bryan Whitfield, trained in the 1950's at Manchester Art School & Slade. He spent his artistic career painting out of the back of his van and travelling Europe with his family. His work has been described as 'quietly intense' which I believe is the perfect description. When alive he refused to sell his art and now his family are starting to sort and sell his studio.
